Alastair is the son of the Secretary of State for education. A young, well-educated teenager, he chooses to snub a privileged education and mingle with the kids from his new neighbourhood at Zap Jr. High, a dilapidated school on the wrong side of the tracks. Zap Jr. High is home for a bunch of kids eager to remain united in spite of their differences. Alastair and his pals always try and push the system. They never run out of funny ideas on how to improve their daily life.
