Here is a reminder of the plot:
1917. Bakary Diallo enlists in the French army to join his 17-year-old son Thierno, who has been forcibly conscripted. Sent to the front, this father and son will have to face the war together. Galvanized by the enthusiasm of his officer who wants to take him into the heat of the battle, Thierno will free himself and learn to become a man, while Bakary will do everything he can to tear him away from the fighting and bring him home safe and sound.

Finally, let’s look back at the open air screening of the film A Monkey in Winter. This film, directed by Henri Verneuil, written by Michel Audiard and featuring the delightful duo, Jean Gabin and Jean-Paul Belmondo was shown in an incredible setting with toes touching the sand.
