Eugenio has been living with his grand mother since his parents' separation. He is supposed to go to London with his father, Giancarlo, but on the way out to the airport, the boy keeps annoying the driver who, in exasperation, abandons the ten year old on the roadside. The police is alerted. During the search for their son, Giancarlo and Fernanda, Eugenio's mother, relive their past. They realize they were never parents to their son.
