Ilyas leaves Greece in 1971, when the military junta is in power. He joins his cousin Gerassimos who's been living in Paris for twenty years. The photograph of a singer falls from Ilyas's pocket. He tells Gerassimos that she is his sister and stubbornly sticks to this lie as Gerassimos likes her. But Ilyas is passionately in love with him.
