Nice guy Bertrand is not a very serious public school supervisor. His students are unruly. The principal plans to fire Bertrand by having a school inspector observe the chaos in one of his classes. To save Bertrand's job, his students arrange that all the other classes are comparatively much worse. With the help of the woman of his dreams, Bertrand writes an award-winning novel and gets his revenge.
