Small-time hood and ladies' man Marc is on the run from an American gangster. He flees Monte Carlo and hides out at the chateau of married Barbara, serving as a chauffeur. Marc has even more problems when he discovers that Barbara's husband was murdered by her lover Vincent. Barbara is planning to pass Marc off as her lover, hoping he will be killed by the authorities instead of Vincent. Meanwhile, Barbara's niece Melinda has fallen for the handsome Marc. Marc doesn't know which way to turn to get out of his predicament.
