Paulette is the mistress of Philippe, the editor-in-chief of a big daily. She meets Carl, an American actor and darling of all the women, and gives in to the young man. Philippe tries to find solace with Pauline, a young reporter who is also very attracted to the actor. Paulette would like to keep Carl but doesn't want to lose Philippe. Hearts' sorrows are soon mended by a double wedding.
