During the Russo-Japanese War in a Manchurian Port, Youki, a young woman who is Russian by her father and Japanese by her mother, marries a lieutenant in the Russian Imperial Navy. Her half-brother exploits her union to steal important papers that give a decisive advantage to the Japanese troops. When he is caught by the Russians, he accuses Youki of being his accomplice.
