Nineteen year old Penelope is bored at the Swiss boarding school where her mother has sent her. She seizes the opportunity to escape during a school trip to Paris. There, she meets Antoine, a young police detective. He belatedly finds out that she is a schoolgirl and is at his wit's end to get rid of her but Penelope sticks to him like glue. Antoine finally realizes that he loves her and asks for her hand in marriage.
