Godard talks of his work in front of a video camera : the topic of the film is the life of a young couple, depicted in a series of short tableaux illustrated with titles and a voice-over. Pierre works and his wife takes care of their two children. The grandmother is busy with her housework while her husband recalls the time when he was a militant of the Third International.
