Jeanne, a medical student, and Marie, a saleswoman, meet while hitchhiking. They decide to take off and travel the Swiss roads. They do, however, have to commit a few misdemeanors to eat and protect themselves. People become self-styled detectives when the women's pictures are broadcast on TV. An inn-keeper tells the police their whereabouts. They shoot a man that has nothing to do with them as the police arrive on the scene.
