Clothes designer Maurice Darnal is bankrupt and must close his business. A move that grieves his right-hand assistant, Micheline who is as committed to her job as she is to her boss. The young woman finds another job as accompanist to a famous singer. During a tour, she runs into Maurice who tells Micheline he loves her. Maurice reopens his haute couture establishment, and makes Micheline his wife and muse.
