Rose, a twelve year-old ballet student, venerates Miss Beaupré, the prima ballerina. Believing her idol threatened by Nathalie, another ballerina, Rose causes an accident that shatters Nathalie's career. Now that she is crippled, Nathalie becomes the children's ballet teacher. The guilt is too much for Rose, especially since she is Nathalie's favorite pupil. Although Nathalie discovers that Rose is to blame for her accident, she finds it in her heart to forgive the child.
