Alfred, a young electrician, dreams of becoming a singer. By accident, he saves the life of the great actress Mona Thalia, by donating his blood. The press has a field day with the story turning Alfred into hero and sparking Mona's interest in her savior. However fame and glory are fleeting and Mona soon shows her true colors as an irascible snob with a penchant for slumming. After mishaps and misadventures, Alfred goes back to his quiet life and the fiancée he had deserted.
