In this young independent nation, the integrity of the Minister of Health makes him embarrassing and he is executed. His mistress, a white woman, goes back to her former husband, who has been sent to the country on a cultural mission from France. The pair escapes lynching by the skin of their teeth and make it back to France with the help of police inspector Orlaville.
