Roger and Bernard, two school friends, witness a serious car accident on a race track. Roger saves the driver and all three men are taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver's uncle, Patrick Le Kermadec, goes to the wrong room when he comes to thank Roger for his bravery, and congratulates Bernard instead. The course of the two boys' lives is completely altered by the misunderstanding that triggers a fantastic adventure.
