David, a young music teacher, is having an affair with Julia, the mother of his pupil. One night, he is assaulted by a stranger who tries to break his hands. David is saved by Daniel, a paid assassin who has been hired to steal some microfilms from Julia's husband and kill him. In spite of Daniel's warning to beware of the young woman's unusual behaviour, David is determined to find out what is going on.
