Jacques, a pilot for the airmail courier, goes for a visit to Genevieve. His childhood friend is now married to a heartless and authoritarian ambassador. The unhappy woman agrees to go off with Jacques. The lovers move to Paris but Jacques is soon busy with the demands of his job. While he is off in the desert looking for a fellow pilot who has disappeared, Genevieve has to cope with her family's pressure. When Genevieve learns that Jacques has died from wounds inflicted during an attack by desert Moors, she goes back to her husband.
