As he prepares a show by the Georgian painter Pirosmani in Paris, Anton Gogoladze meets a bubbly old lady, Marcelle Ichac, the niece of the renowned chef Pascal Ichac. She shows him an old manuscript, apparently written at the turn of the century by Anton's mother, the beautiful Georgian princess, Cecilia Abachidze.
