Spain, 2000: a young man comes out of his self-imposed silence. He says his name is Nicholas Mark Randall, that he is an American citizen and was abducted four years before by the members of a sect. His sister flies over from America and takes him home to the United States where his family seems to recognize him, much to the Spanish police's surprise as they suspect him of being a persistent imposter.
