André and the charming Nicolette care the world for each other. His father cuts his allowance and orders him to marry the daughter of a rich businessman. André agrees, but Nicolette decides to sacrifice herself for him. She is ready to yield to a stranger, an old baron who turns out to be André's father. The old man finally realizes how much the young woman loves his son and consents to their match.
