Inspired by the Marquis de Sade's famous characters, Roger Vadim has set Justine and Juliette in occupied Paris amidst the turmoil of the last war. Justine is arrested and deported to a mysterious castle hidden in the Tyrol. Her sister Juliette who has become the mistress of an SS Colonel, finds her and tries to help her escape. But Justine wants to share the fate of her cellmates. Before long Hitler's death is reported and the Nazi officials try to flee.
