When Isabelle de Santos is invited to Venice by a wealthy friend, she takes a case of diamonds that she inherited from her husband on the trip. A classy barman and his gang get wind of the jewels and send a young painter, disguised as an Oriental Prince, to seduce Isabelle, marry her, and snatch the diamonds. The marriage comes off, but the newly weds adore each other, and love carries the day.
