Rose, in her fifties, has been beaten by her husband for years. Overnight, she decides to change her life, even if it means becoming an outlaw, and kills her husband. Thinking she has erased all traces of her murder, she suddenly leaves to join her son Thomas, who lives in Brussels. While Rose hopes to find some comfort and understanding with Thomas, he rejects her. It is Madame Talbot, a widow she meets during her escape, who will give her the support and attention she has never had. Together, they will try to escape the irreparable... but for how long?
