Niccolo Farra, a well-known film-maker, is looking for a new face for his next movie. He falls in love with Mavi, but the young aristocrat seems detached. A stranger becomes attracted to the young woman and pressures Niccolo to break off his affair with Mavi, who then disappears. Niccolo later meets Ida, a young actress who helps him find Mavi.
