Killers, like artists, sometimes leave their work unfinished. Those who survive a murder attempt are obsessed by the fear that one day the killer may return to finish the job. Jeanne Quester, a doctor who works on a psychiatric emergency unit, is also the host of a nightly talk on "Skyrock" radio, where she helps her listeners to resolve their problems. Jeanne's show and her private life are a success. She has come out of her divorce well. Her twelve-year-old daughter, Pauline, adores her. She is starting to love a new man. And she's been offered a weekly television program. Things are going really well. Looking at her, no one would ever guess that twenty-five years ago, she had lived through the most horrible tragedy imaginable.
