Lucien wanted to be a sailor but got married instead. He plays the good husband and father, but secretly squirrels his money away to fulfill his dream. Unfortunately, the family squanders all his savings. As he stands at the seashore, the disillusioned man takes refuge in a keg, but the tide comes in and washes his floating shelter out to sea. Two months later, he lands at Orly airport, hailed by a brass band and a government official. He has become the hero of the Atlantic!
