Synopsis :  Young Danielle's engagement is suddenly broken. She goes back to Jenny, her mother, unaware that the nightclub she is running is a cover-up for a house of joy. Jenny is also supporting a young lover called Lucien who falls in love with Danielle. When Lucien is seriously injured in a fight, Jenny goes to visit him in the hospital where she runs into her daughter. Moved by their love, Jenny decides not to come between the two.

Synopsis :  Joan is but a child when her sister is raped and murdered before her very eyes during the sack of their village by the English Army. From then on, religion and prayer are her only solace.
