Synopsis :  Raymont Fontaine, un Américain d'une cinquantaine d'années, est invité par Monique Bouvier, l'élégante propriétaire d'une boutique d'antiquités, à venir passer quelques temps dans la magnifique villa du comte Paolo Barbarelli, sur la côte d'Amalfi, pour une expertise d'oeuvres d'art. Synopsis :  Martin witnesses the explosion of a booby-trapped car; he even has a photograph of the alleged terrorist. He then suddenly becomes a sitting duck for the media who want him to talk and for the Secret Service who want him to shut up. Synopsis :  Newsreel editing recounts the events of the 'phony war' and 1940 German invasion. The Germans' schemes for Czechoslovakia trigger an international crisis. French and English Prime Ministers Chamberlain and Daladier initiate discussions to find a peaceful outcome to the conflict. Prompted by Mussolini, the Munich Accords are signed. Peace is apparently preserved but the Allies' appeasement strategy clearly encourages Hitler to pursue his aggressive policy.
