Synopsis : Martin is an ex-Parisian well-heeled hipster, more or less willingly transformed into the baker in a Norman village. We can sense his excitement when an English couple with bizarrely familiar names moves into a small farm nearby. Not only are the names of the new arrivals Gemma and Charles Bovery, but their behaviour also seems to be inspired by Flaubert's heroes. Synopsis : Berlin after the war. Twelve year old Edmund is black-marketeering to help support his family. Roaming through the city rubble, he meets an old teacher of his. In his talks with the boy, the ex-Nazi recalls Hitler's doctrine advocating the elimination of the weak. Without realizing the consequences of his action, Edmund poisons his sick father. In the end, the child is overcome with remorse and commits suicide.

Synopsis : In 1905, the Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon, divides Bengal in two administrative units, one Hindu, the other Muslim. In his home, Nikhil dreams of his country's independence.
