Des paysages ocre d'Aix-en-Provence et de la montagne Sainte-Victoire aux statues de cire illustrant la très mouvementée Révolution française au musée Grévin, en passant par les célèbres galeries du Louvre, notre duo devra de nouveau faire preuve d'ingéniosité pour comprendre le lien intime entre les meurtriers qu'ils poursuivent et ces chefs-d'oeuvre de la peinture. Nos deux enquêteurs devront aussi élucider la nature profonde des sentiments qu'ils ont l'un pour l'autre car, si on peut s'arranger avec le mot " amitié ", le désir, lui, ne ment pas.
