Synopsis : Boris, modeste fonctionnaire russe, fait partie d'une mission envoyée en Italie pour un congrès sur la paix. Aux portes de Venise, il est malencontreusement séparé de ses camarades et se retrouve seul et sans ressource. Endoctriné par la propagande de son pays, il est convaincu de pénétrer dans le plus décadent des états capitalistes. Puis, Boris rencontre Maria, jeune Vénitienne au coeur simple qui lui ouvrira les yeux sur son erreur, mais il devra encore faire face à ses compatriotes qui l'accuseront de trahison.

Synopsis : Paul Braconnier vive un inferno coniugale con sua moglie, una donna spregevole e alcolizzata. I due cercano di abbattersi a vicenda in ogni modo possibile. Paul si rivolge ad un celebre avvocato che gli insegna involontariamente come portare a termine il suo crimine. Paul rientra in casa, uccide la moglie e si costituisce alla polizia. Difeso dall'avvocato, viene assolto e torna trionfante nel suo paese.
