Andreas Bareiss joined the Gaumont team as Executive Producer in July 2018, where he produced the Netflix series “Barbarians”, as well as the SKY Series “The Wasp” and the ZDF Series “Westwall”. Since 1994, Andreas has worked in various partnerships as producer and executive producer on more than 70 cinema and television films, winning many awards, including “Nowhere in Africa”, which won an Oscar in 2002. With the creation and production of the “Wandering Whores Saga”, Andreas achieved one of the greatest successes in the history of Sat.1 and German television in 2010 and 2012. Andreas was awarded the Bavarian and German Film Prize as well as the Bavarian and German Television Prize. In addition to his work as a producer, he is also a lecturer at the Bauhaus University in Weimar.
