Synopsis : Adhémar has a funny face, and ever since his childhood he has had to endure the gales of laughter it inevitably sets off. Adhémar ends up in a shelter for the destitute but gets kick out for laughing at the other lodgers. At last, he finds his calling as a circus entertainer, delighting audiences with his funny faces and songs.

For a plane take-off tryout, he flies all the way to Tokyo - a nonstop flight to happiness for the lovebirds.

However, when the mess sergeant refuses to let her go, Paul kills him. Just as Paul decides to turn himself in, an enemy plane bombs the mess hall. Scot-free, Paul can return to the train.

Synopsis : Paul Braconnier is going through living hell with his wife, an alcoholic shrew. They are both trying to do away with each other. Paul goes to see a famous lawyer, who unwittingly tells him how to commit the crime. So Paul goes on, kills his wife and gives himself up to the police. The lawyer takes his case and Paul is acquitted. He triumphantly returns to the village.
