Synopsis :  As Hélène is conveying her husband's body across the Sahara, her convoy is attacked by looters. The young widow survives only to be taken to a remote desert village called Tirzit amidst a band of lonely, ailing men. She meets her husband's partner who tries to kill her. Hélène does not report him to the police but is curious to learn the reasons for his action. Before dying of a terrible fever, the man confesses that he murdered her husband.

Synopsis :  Décidant sur le tard d'apprendre à conduire, le narrateur se lie avec Pascale Polougaïevski, la jeune femme qui tient les bureaux de l'école de conduite, et sympathise avec son père lorsque celui-ci vient apporter des bocaux de cornichons. Ils partiront ensuite tous ensemble en banlieue à la recherche d'une bouteille de gaz dans la voiture décapotable du père de Pascale qui tombera en panne et les obligera à rentrer en métro. Pascale, alors, dans l'après-midi, se rendra à son cours de sévillane et le narrateur l'accompagnera. Sans trop dévoiler la fin, mais on la devine, ils iront ensemble à Londres, le week-end suivant, dans une voiture-école.

Synopsis :  Michel, a junior lawyer, learns that his client who has been charged with theft has also murdered Madame Roubaix.
