Synopsis :  Mister Julien has been a doorman at Maxim's for years. Everybody appreciates his discretion and shrewd knowledge of floozies. So when Mister Julien announces he is retiring, his boss refuses to let him go, threatening to tell Mister Julien's wife, who thinks he is a big executive, what he really does for a living. Mister Julien grudgingly agrees to postpone his retirement. From then on, his life becomes chaos as his nephew's curiosity and his mistress' fickleness cause him no end of trouble.

Synopsis :  Larsan Bellac, a high class con artist, hires two sleazy gangsters to help him with his next operation. Thanks to his brains and skill, the threesome rip off a wealthy public works contractor. But a rich widow falls in love with the smart con man, takes him to her castle and steals the loot. Synopsis :  This picture is not a biography of the Queen of France but a story, based on historical fact, of the love which bound her to a young Swedish nobleman, Axel de Fersen. The story opens with their first encounter at a fancydress ball at the Opera, when neither knows the true identity of the other. It is only a few days later, when the death of Louis XV has made her Queen, that the young foreigner learns who the lovely unknown of the Opera really is. He leaves shortly afterwards. Four years later he returns to Paris as a Lieutenant in the Swedish dragons. The Queen invites him to Versailles. For fear of compromising the Queen, Fersen leaves for America. A tender correspondence then follows, of which the King is informed. When the Revolution comes, Fersen stays loyal to the Royal couple, in vain.

Synopsis :  Georges Marceau, a truck driver, has an accident and his assistant is killed. Even though he is now impotent, Georges marries his true love, Olivia. Together they open a diner for truckers. But Georges is madly jealous and suspects his wife is untrue. Even though she is a faithful wife, Olivia is exasperated by his attitude and goes to stay at the home of Pietri, a gas pump attendant. Georges shoots Pietri, wounds him and then commits suicide.

As luck and love would have it, the screenplay ends up on the desk of a big American producer, who agrees to put the show on Broadway.

Blaise agrees and soon discovers the joys of going to the casino and living in the lap of luxury sourrounded by lovely women and money. But his luck runs out; he loses all his winnings and a wretched Blaise returns to Cassis.
