Synopsis :  Elena è una principessa polacca decisamente affascinante. Si entusiasma e si demotiva molto facilmente per gli esseri e le cause che crede nobili. Diventa la musa ispiratrice di un compositore, di un industriale e dell'eroe del momento, il generale Rollan. Synopsis :  Oriane wants to save her marriage. After a quarrel with her husband Hadrien, she goes to a fortune-teller who predicts her spouse will be unfaithful and desert her. The young woman absolutely refuses to accept this fate and forces the fortune-teller to take another look into his crystal ball. He does, and again sees the break-up of their marriage. Synopsis :  Sylvia est stérile et demande à son mari Akos, officier de l'armée hongroise, de faire un enfant à Irène, son amie juive. Lorsque l'enfant naît, Irène, déchirée, le remet à la jeune femme. Mais Akos et Irène s'aiment, et un deuxième enfant naît. Les années passent, l'hitlérisme déferle, l'antisémitisme aussi. Synopsis :  Bastien du Bocage est gérant d'un grand journal parisien.
