Synopsis :  Paris, 1676, Madame de Montespan, the mistress of the Sun King, fears she'll lose his affections to youthful Mademoiselle de Fontanges. Madame de Montespan with help from well-known medium La Voisin poisons her young rival. La Voisin and Mademoiselle Desoeillets, Mme de Montespan lady's maid, are arrested and sentenced to death. Synopsis :  Janin, jeune prêtre missionnaire, travaille à Pigalle où il espère sauver quelques âmes. Se heurtant dans son action à Maurice, maître de la prostitution montmartroise, il est aidé par Josy, une prostituée indépendante. Celle-ci s'éprend de Janin qui la repousse. Pour se venger, elle fait entrer dans le milieu une jeune protégée du prêtre. Finalement, Josy sera prise de remords et quand Maurice voudra obtenir l'adresse de Janin pour le punir, elle refusera de le trahir, même devant la mort.
