Synopsis : In the French army used a brutal technique in its attempt to prevent mutinies by its increasingly disaffected soldiers. After lining a unit up on parade, one randomly chosen soldier would be required to step forward and he would be shot, as an example to the others that refusal to fight would not be tolerated. he would go down on the record books as having been a traitor to his country. The general known as "the butcher of Hurlus" was particularly enthusiastic in his use of this technique. This film is an adaptation of Jean amila's novel Le Boucher des Hurlus. The story, set in the aftermath of the war, concerns Michel a young man orphaned in this manner. He lives with his mother until she collapses under the wave of vituperation from the women in her community, who consider her murdered husband to have been a traitor. When he is sent to an orphanage, he discovers that many children in it are there for the same reason he is. Michel decides to escape his captivity and kill the general who ordered his father's death. He and the other children llike him are able to get away from the orphanage, in the course of their journeys, they tour the grim battlefields of the recent war. Together, they return to Paris, determined to exact their revenge.

Synopsis : Until now business has been good for big boss "Light-haired Louis" and his henchmen, Fredo, Pepito and Raymond. But the attack of an armored bank goes wrong: Raymond is shot and Louis arrested. The latter suspects Fredo of having turned him in. Synopsis : During a night round gone wrong, Simon and Julie, two rank-and-file police officers, wound a young executive after he shoots a fellow officer without cause. Wrongly accused of excessive use of force, they lose their badges in the episode. They decide to prove their innocence by investigating the drug responsible for their aggressor's altered state. Officers by day and dealers by night - lovers, on top of that - they work their way up the drug cartel's chain of command to a new and dangerous line of designer amphetamines known on the street as sphinx. Once they infiltrate the cartel, Simon and Julie try to find its secret meth kitchen. Their double life could be exposed by the Department or the dealers at any moment.

Synopsis : Criblé de dettes, abandonné par le public, Jordan doit céder son cinéma "Le Splendor" à un riche industriel local. Alors que l'on démonte la salle, Jordan se remémore son histoire, ses débuts avec le cinéma, l'arrivée de Chantal, la belle ouvreuse française qui attirait à elle seule le public, et de Luigi, son jeune projectionniste passionné. Puis le miracle intervient : les spectateurs reviennent et empêchent la fermeture du cinéma.
