Synopsis :  En 1918, Paul, un jeune soldat, s'échappe pendant un arrêt de son train pour aller revoir sa fiancée, Marie, qu'il a confiée à ses parents. Marie a été chassée par la mère de Paul et travaille maintenant dans une cantine militaire. Il la rejoint et la persuade de rentrer avec lui mais le cantinier s'y oppose. Paul le tue. Il veut se dénoncer lorsqu'un avion ennemi fait sauter la cantine. Paul regagnera alors son train sans être inquiété.
