Synopsis : Bastien du Bocage est gérant d'un grand journal parisien. Sa soeur Lucrèce, responsable d'une rubrique, multiplie les échos impertinents sur les personnalités en vogue ce qui vaut à Bastien de nombreux séjours en prison. S'opposant au mariage de sa nièce avec un jeune étudiant sans situation, Lucrèce va se faire piéger par ses propres conseils dans son courrier du coeur et devra s'avouer vaincue.
